My 4 year old daughter learned a valuable lesson today. We were walking through shops downtown, when a homeless man asked if I could spare any change. Erin, my daughter, being the open, obnoxious type, said this – “No. Why do you need our money? You’re an adult, can’t you make your own?” Now, this may seem mean, but look at it this way – instead of giving in, she made him give his sales pitch. How many times have you seen homeless people take money, then go and buy alcohol or drugs with it? She wanted to know why he needed the money. If anyone with a job asked someone for money, we would be asked the same thing. Click here to read more.
